Bryant Miller Olive Opens Sixth Florida Office in St. Petersburg

       ST. PETERSBURG – In a move to enhance its services to clients in the greater St. Petersburg metroplex and Pinellas County, Bryant Miller Olive has opened a new office in downtown St. Petersburg. Coming on the heels of the opening of a new office in Jacksonville, Florida and the relocation of its Tallahassee offices to larger facilities over the past several months, the firm now has a total of six regional state offices and another in Atlanta, Georgia.
          For more than 15 years, Bryant Miller Olive has had a strong client presence in the Tampa Bay area, and the St. Petersburg location, together with its Tampa offices at One Tampa City Center, provides clients greater convenience to the full array of services the firm offers. The firm is recognized as a leader in legal matters related to public finance, state and local government, energy, land use, utility, affordable housing, public procurement, and complex structured and project transactions. Bryant Miller Olive is ranked as having the largest public finance practice in Florida based upon the number of bond issues completed in the state for each of the past ten years.
          The St. Petersburg office is headed by Michael S. Davis who practices primarily in the state and local government, litigation and appellate areas. He has extensive administrative, transactional, litigation and appellate experience, including issues relating to sovereign immunity, Sunshine law, ethics law, public records law, eminent domain, workers' compensation, and land use disputes, both at trial and appellate levels. He has had substantial involvement as a lead negotiator on behalf of local government in developing agreements related to community redevelopment initiatives, efforts to attract and obtain major league baseball, the financing, construction and leasing of Tropicana Field, and the reorganization of Tampa Bay Water in conjunction with resolving regional water related disputes between the Southwest Water Management District and local governmental entities in the Tampa Bay region.
