Attorney Patti Grant-Wilkinson to Open DC Office of Bryant Miller Olive
WASHINGTON, DC – Bryant Miller Olive announced today that Patti Grant-Wilkinson is joining the firm and will serve as the managing shareholder of its newly-opened DC office. Formerly a partner in the Public Finance Group of Hunton & Williams, Ms. Grant-Wilkinson has served as bond counsel to numerous cities, counties and authorities, and has served as underwriter’s counsel, disclosure counsel, borrower’s counsel, developer’s counsel and bank’s counsel. During her 18-year career, she has worked on over 150 transactions in connection with the issuance of over $12 billion in tax-exempt bonds.
Her clients have included the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency, the District of Columbia, the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Prince George’s County, Maryland, and Miami-Dade County, Florida. She also has worked on numerous airport deals, privatized students housing deals in the Southeast, and served as counsel to Commerce Capital Access Program Corporation, in its capacity as designated bonding authority to the United States Department of Education for its Historically Black Colleges and Universities Loan Program.

Patti’s qualifications, client contacts and her technical expertise are the perfect fit for Bryant Miller Olive.” Draper added that Len Marcinko, who chairs the firm’s Section 103 Tax Practice and is resident in the Atlanta office of Bryant Miller Olive, will work in close collaboration with the DC office and split his time between Atlanta and Washington. Marcinko is considered a leading expert in the federal income tax aspects of municipal finance law. He served as an attorney-advisor in the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service and was a principal author of income tax regulations and proposed legislation in the tax-exempt bond area.
