Susan H. Churuti Joins Bryant Miller Olive
Adding Expertise to Law Firm’s Tampa Office

TAMPA, Fla. - Bryant Miller Olive, one of the nation’s top public finance and transactional law firms, today announced the addition of attorney Susan H. Churuti to its Tampa office. Churuti will join the firm’s State & Local Government and Governmental Consulting practice areas. She previously served as County Attorney to Pinellas County for over twenty years. Mrs. Churuti brings significant experience representing the county, its constitutional officers, which are the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Property Appraiser, Sheriff, Supervisor of Elections and Tax Collector.

Throughout her career, Churuti has served as general counsel for more than 50 boards, commissions and special districts and is board certified in City, County and Local Government law. Her expertise includes state and U.S. constitutional law, legislation, charters, eminent domain, elections, risk management, public construction, public finance, utilities, and procurement, as well as litigation and appellate practice.

Mrs. Churuti is dedicated to serving many community and civic causes. She has been an active member in the Florida Bar, serving as the Chair of the Eminent Domain Committee and the Chair of the City, County and Local Government Law Section, which awarded her the Ralph A. Marsicano Award for significant contribution to development of local government law in Florida. She has served as the President of the Florida Association of County Attorneys and President of the Clearwater Bar Association.

Mrs. Churuti is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History. She received a Juris Doctor degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
