Ken Artin, Randy Clement, Randy Hanna, and Cari Roth Named Legal Elite 2006

ORLANDO/TALLAHASSEE–The third annual Florida Trend’s, Florida Legal Elite has announced the selection of four Bryant Miller Olive attorneys: Kenneth R. Artin, Randy C. Clement, Randy W. Hanna, and Cari L. Roth as among Florida's Legal Elite. These carefully selected lawyers were chosen by their attorney peers statewide. The Legal Elite represent only 1.8 percent of the 57,968 Florida Bar members who practice in the state. Artin and Roth who were honored last year are among the sixty-five percent who were repeat winners. Artin, Clement, and Hanna were all selected for inclusion in the public finance area and Roth was selected in the environmental and land use areas.
Ken Artin has been actively practicing public finance law for twenty years and is the managing shareholder of Bryant Miller Olive's Orlando office. He has represented municipalities, counties, school districts and special taxing districts as disclosure counsel, bond counsel and special tax counsel. Artin previously served as Chair of the Securities Law Committee of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
Clement has been involved in the public finance practice for twenty two years. He is resident in the firm’s Orlando office, and is recognized for his extensive experience in state and local government revenue bond financings and has particular expertise in airport, hospital, multi-family and single family housing, electric and water and sewer utility financings, as well as various special tax and enterprise fund financings.
Hanna has been with Bryant Miller Olive since 1984 and has been the firm’s Managing Shareholder since 1997. He is resident in the firm’s Tallahassee office and has served as special counsel to numerous governmental units, has represented clients before state agencies and has worked on numerous projects in the energy and utility areas. He has served as Chairman of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners and the State Board of Community Colleges. He has additionally served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Florida A&M University. He is Chair-Elect of the Tallahassee Area Chamber of Commerce.
Roth is resident in the Tallahassee law offices and brings twenty years of public and private sector legal and legislative experience to Bryant Miller Olive and chairs the firm's Land Use and Governmental Consulting practice areas. Governor Jeb Bush has appointed Ms. Roth to serve a four-year term to the Florida Environmental Regulation Commission. Prior to returning to private practice, she served four years as General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of the Florida Department of Community Affairs. She has extensive expertise in matters pertaining to land use, growth management and infrastructure issues, as well as governmental programs involving environmental protection, agriculture and transportation.
Florida Trend's Legal Elite is a program that recognizes top lawyers who have earned the professional trust and confidence of other Florida Bar members. Thirteen thousand seven hundred and twelve ballots were cast in the selection process for 2006.
