Ms. Rhonda Bond-Collins has been practicing law for over 25 years. She currently serves as the managing shareholder of the firm’s Orlando office and the co-chair of the firm’s Affordable Housing practice group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of tax-exempt and taxable financings. Her experience in the public finance arena includes regularly serving as bond counsel and bank counsel on governmental finance transactions, including serving as lead bond counsel on general obligation, affordable housing, electric, storm water and wastewater transactions.
She has also represented Borrowers in conduit financings. She regularly serves as lead bond counsel on affordable housing transactions, including conduit financings. Her experience in affordable housing finance transactions also includes previously serving as counsel to one of the largest credit enhancement providers in the country. Additionally, Rhonda serves as bond counsel to several universities and colleges.
During her career, Ms. Bond-Collins has served as underwriter's counsel, trustee's counsel, disclosure counsel, and purchaser's counsel on various tax-exempt and taxable transactions. Rhonda also has experience in commercial real estate transactions representing both purchasers and sellers.
She is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education (CLE) programs including the Florida Association of Housing Finance Authorities annual conference and the City, County and Local Government Law section of the Florida Bar Board Certification Review Course. In 2022, Ms. Bond-Collins was elected, by unanimous vote, as a regular fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel.
