Bryant Miller Olive attorneys further diversity for women in public finance
Bryant Miller Olive strives to have an inclusive workplace culture. The law firm actively endeavors to grow a diverse professional team in its bond finance practice. Demonstrating this commitment, BMO is proud to again sponsor “Women in Public Finance”, the leading professional organization for women in the field of public finance.
While many BMO attorneys are members at large, attorneys Misty Taylor, Monique Spotts and JoLinda Herring will serve in leadership roles for the WPF Florida Chapter this year. Misty Taylor and Monique Spotts sit on the statewide Board of Directors, and JoLinda Herring will continue as Chair of the South Florida Events Committee.
Launched in 1997, Women in Public Finance has a goal of advancing leadership opportunities for women in the field through relationship building, educational activities and forums. Members include state and local government issuers, not-for-profit issuers, investment bankers, attorneys, financial advisors, rating agency analysts, bond insurers, and trust officers.
Events include lunch and learn panels on trending topics like tax reform, as well as general networking events for finance professionals. Members have access to all local and national events, the members’ only newsletter, and the job bank. To provide value for women in all stages of their professional careers, membership fees for students and public sector employees are just $25 annually.
