Chris Roe devotes his practice primarily to utility and state and local government matters. Mr. Roe has assisted and continues to assist Panama City Beach, Florida, in the development of a redevelopment and special assessment regime to fund the cost of roadway improvements along the 11-mile corridor known as Front Beach Road. He assisted in creating and validating the Flora Ridge Educational Facilities Benefit District. This is the first district of its kind established pursuant to the recently enacted Chapter 1013, Florida Statutes, in imposing assessments to partially fund an elementary school and related site improvements, roadway improvements and utility infrastructure in Kissimmee, Florida. With respect to community involvement, Mr. Roe is very active in causes benefiting senior citizens and regularly attends functions at the Tallahassee Senior Citizens Center and Lake Ella Manor, an independent living facility. He is the lead firm attorney representing the Wakulla County Senior Citizens Council, Inc., a Florida non-profit corporation providing charitable services for seniors, and he provides volunteer services as well. As a member of the board of the Southwood YMCA, he is involved in implementing educational and recreational programs, developing the annual budget, and fund-raising activities. Mr. Roe graduated from the Florida State University Law School in 2001. |
