Duane Draper has been in public finance, either as an attorney or investment banker, beginning in 1989. He is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell and will be listed in the 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Draper was also named as among the State's Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine in 2008. Since joining Bryant Miller Olive, Mr. Draper has focused his practice on both Bond Counsel and Disclosure Counsel representations, and he currently chairs the Firm's Public Finance Group. He has served as Bond and/or Disclosure Counsel on financings for such issuers as, Brevard, Alachua, Martin, Hillsborough, Polk, Sarasota, Hernando, Brevard, Charlotte, Miami-Dade, Lake, Monroe, Highlands, DeSoto, and Osceola Counties; and the Cities of Key West, Marco Island, Naples, New Port Richey, Sarasota, Sanibel, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Temple Terrace, Plant City, Winter Haven, Lake Wales, Clermont, Melbourne, North Port, Tamarac, Gainesville and St. Augustine. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Local Government Section of The Florida Bar. Mr. Draper is a graduate of Leadership Tampa 2003 and Leadership Florida 2006. He graduated from the Duke University School of Law with honors, where he was a member of the Duke Law Journal. Mr. Draper also holds a degree in Finance from the University of Florida, where he graduated with high honors. Mr. Draper is listed in the Municipal Bond Attorneys section of the Bond Buyer's Municipal Marketplace (Spring 2007 Edition, page 494).
