Public finance and bond attorney B. Herbert “Herb” Boatner, Jr. joined Bryant Miller Olive in 2016 as Of Counsel in the Firm’s Tampa office.
Practicing law for more than 40 years, Herb represents state and local governments and authorities, underwriters, borrowers, trustees and banks, serving as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, issuer’s counsel, developer’s counsel, P3 (Public Private Partnership) counsel, letter of credit bank counsel and trustee’s counsel.
Herb has extensive experience in public finance involving toll roads, airports, healthcare facilities, Florida community development districts, special districts, educational facilities, single and multi-family housing, and general governmental infrastructure.

Since 2007, Herb has appeared on the “Transactions and Finance: recommended lawyer list in Florida in The Legal 500. He is an active member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, and is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Pennsylvania.
Herb received his J.D. in 1972 from Cornell University and earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
