Miami, Fla. (Sept. 25, 2020) ― Bryant Miller Olive P.A. (BMO) is pleased to announce that BMO Shareholder JoLinda Herring, Esq. was appointed to the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) Board of Directors.

Herring served as chair of the NABL Bond Attorneys Workshop Steering Committee in 2019. In 2011, she was chair of NABL’s Fundamentals of Municipal Bond Law seminar. She is also a frequent speaker at NABL workshops and Florida Government Finance Officers Association conferences.

Herring began as a practicing attorney with BMO in 1996, and today is co-chair of the firm’s Public Finance Group. Her practice is dedicated to municipal law, governmental tax-exempt financings and blue sky securities law, with expertise in commercial paper programs. She has a specialty in representing pooled programs. Herring currently serves as bond counsel to the Sunshine State Governmental Financing Commission and was also instrumental in creating the Florida Municipal Loan Council and the Florida Rural Utility Financing Commission; she currently serves as bond counsel to both entities.

She has served as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and underwriter’s counsel to various governmental entities including Palm Beach County, Broward County, Miami-Dade County, Leon County, Jackson County, Escambia County, Brevard County, the City of Tallahassee, the City of Miami, the City of Ocala, the City of Panama City Beach, and numerous other governmental entities across the State of Florida, State of Connecticut and State of Louisiana. She is listed in the Municipal Bond Attorneys’ section of The Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace.

Herring graduated from Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida in 1996. She received an MBA in finance with honors from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1987.
