An Emerging Value of Oral Argument in the Electronic Age, by Ellie Neiberger

BMO’s Ellie Neiberger recently published an article in Appellate Issues, the ABA Council of Appellate Lawyers’ Quarterly Journal, on the impact the current digital age has had on presenting oral arguments.

Studies show a growing number of judges are limiting the amount of time for oral arguments and that more and more briefs are being read online. Electronics can impact everything from the potential distractions while reading, to how quickly individuals are able to read electronically versus in print.
