John Doty joined Bryant Miller Olive as a Law Clerk in 2020 and joined the Labor & Employment Group as an Associate in the Miami office in 2021. Mr. Doty practices in various areas of labor & employment, including employment litigation, preventative counseling, and labor disputes.
Mr. Doty received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Miami in 2021. While in law school, Mr. Doty was an Articles and Comments Editor and the Symposium & Events Editor for the University of Miami Business Law Review. His Note, Rock the Cash-bah! How Alston Presents a New Challenge to the Amateurism Justification and Ways the NCAA Can Modernize to Remain Afloat was published in the Review’s 29th Volume. He was also recognized for completing more than 200 hours of legal-related pro-bono service.
Mr. Doty is a recipient of the C.A.L.I. Excellence for the Future Award for Electronic Discovery. Before law school, Mr. Doty received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Texas Christian University.
