Rob Ernst has more than a dozen years of experience practicing in public finance. Mr. Ernst focuses his legal practice primarily serving as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel and borrower’s counsel in connection with revenue bond financings for hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, colleges, universities, preparatory schools, charter schools and cultural institutions.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ernst has represented state-wide and local issuers of tax-exempt bonds and many national and regional investment banking firms throughout the United States. With a focus on moral obligation and conduit borrower bond financings, Rob has significant experience in all types of tax-exempt and taxable public offerings and private placement transactions from deal inception to post-issuance compliance. Such experience stems from due diligence review and drafting and reviewing various bond-related documents, including authorizing resolutions, bond indentures, bond purchase agreements, continuing disclosure agreements, loan agreements, master trust indentures and supplemental trust indentures, offering documents including official statements and offering memorandum and other deal specific documents.
Mr. Ernst received a JD/MBA from Pace University in 2005 and a BS in finance from Binghamton University in 1999.
