David Rothman has practiced law for more than 20 years serving as bond counsel to affordable housing authorities; municipalities in general obligation bond financings, bond anticipation notes, tax anticipation notes, revenue anticipation notes; and to special districts. Mr. Rothman has served as transaction counsel to industrial development agencies on straight-lease transactions, taxable and tax-exempt bond financings and has represented religious corporations in the purchasing and refinancing of real property including appearances before various governmental boards.
David has also served as acting director of procurement for a housing authority, general counsel to not-for-profits and local development corporations, and as transaction counsel to private developers in the acquisition and development of properties as tourist destinations and in the development of multi-family residential housing.
Mr. Rothman has provided counsel to lenders, municipalities, government agencies and related entities in the development and revitalization of properties including transit oriented developments, intermunicipal agreements, regionally significant projects, conveyance of municipal properties and acquisition of easements.
Mr. Rothman is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers. He has contributed to several published NABL reports and projects. Mr. Rothman is also a member of the Florida Bar Government and Advocacy Committee.
