Five Bryant Miller Olive lawyers named as 2016 "Best Lawyers in America"

Ken Artin was recognized for his work in Public Finance law, which he has practiced since 1986. He has represented municipalities, counties, school districts and special taxing districts as disclosure counsel, bond counsel and special tax counsel. This year, Artin is serving as the President of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, and has been named among the state’s Legal Elite by Florida Trend magazine. This is Artin’s 5th year of receiving this honor.
Randy Clement is the Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Orlando office, with extensive experience in state and local government revenue bond financings in the state of Florida. He was recognized for his work in Public Finance law. He has particular expertise in airport, hospital, multi-family and single-family housing, electric and water and sewer utility financings, as well as various special tax and enterprise fund financings. Serving in the capacity of bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and disclosure counsel, Clement’s experience includes fixed rate, variable rate and auction rate financings, commercial paper programs, various derivative products and credit and liquidity enhanced transactions. He also leads the firm’s P3 practice. Clement is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Local Government Section of The Florida Bar. This is Clement’s 10th year of receiving this honor.
Daune Draper was recognized for his work in Public Finance law. He currently co-chairs Bryant Miller Olive’s Public Finance practice area and has been in public finance either as an attorney or investment banker since 1989. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Local Government Section of The Florida Bar. His practice focuses primarily on bond counsel and disclosure counsel representations. This is Draper’s 10th year of receiving this honor.
Leonard Marcinko was recognized for his work in Public Finance law for the 10th year in a row. He concentrates his practice in the federal income tax aspects of municipal finance law. In addition to his primary responsibility of dealing with federal income tax issues related to the firm’s public finance area, Marcinko also heads up Bryant Miller Olive’s representation of clients in the area of interest rate swaps and other derivative product transactions.
James C. Crosland was honored in in two specialty areas: Employment Law – Management and Labor Law – Management. This is Crosland’s 15th year of receiving this honor in both practice areas. Crosland is Board-Certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar, which designates him as an expert in the field. He has represented management exclusively in the practice of labor and employment law for almost 40 years, advising clients in both the private and public sectors in maintaining a union-free workplace environment. Crosland represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board and the Florida Public Employee Relations Commission in both representation (union organizing) and unfair labor practice cases.
