Laura Carrera is a member of Bryant Miller Olive’s Litigation Practice Group and Government Counsel Services Practice Group. Ms. Carrera joined the firm as a Law Clerk in 2023, and upon admission to the Florida Bar, she began her practice as an Associate Attorney in the Tampa office. Ms. Carrera focuses her practice on representing local government clients including cities, counties, school districts, special districts, and state agencies in all facets of litigation. She also focuses her practice on City, County, and Local Government law, including code enforcement, land use, quasi-judicial hearings, public ethics, civil rights, public employment relations,, user fees, special assessments, procurement, tort liability, Sunshine Law and public records.
Ms. Carrera received her Juris Doctor, with honors, from Florida A&M University College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Carrera served as a member of the Florida A&M Law Review and Junior Editor of the Real Property Journal. Ms. Carrera received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from Florida State University.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Carrera interned in the Wells Fargo Legal Department, and also was a Paralegal where she supported Probate, Family and Estate & Trust attorneys.
