Orlando’s Randy Clement recently authored an article on public private partnerships that was featured in the Orlando Business Journal’s online edition. The story, which is available to subscribers of the newspaper, gives three things that a business should do before pursuing a P3. They are:
1. Know the project – A successful P3 project must serve a purpose that’s essential to the core function of the governmental entity.
2. Know the public entity – It is important to know the political environment in which you will be working.
3. Develop a strong team – Your team should include professionals that are experts in each aspect of a project – design, construction, finance and operation.
