Sabine Montas joined Bryant Miller Olive in January 2022 as a law clerk and recently became an associate attorney in the Firm’s Tampa office. Ms. Montas is a member of BMO’s Public Finance Practice Group with a primary focus on Section 103 Tax Law and matters related to the federal income tax treatment of tax-exempt debt obligations. Ms. Montas also focuses on post-issuance tax compliance matters and the structure of proposed new money and refunding obligations related to governmental, 501(c)(3) and exempt facility bond financings.
Ms. Montas received her Juris Doctor and Business Law Certificate, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Montas was a Student Member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. She was also a Member of the Dispute Resolution Board, for which she competed in the ABA 22nd Annual Law Student Tax Challenge. She served as Vice-President of the International Law Society, Secretary of the Calvin A. Kuenzel Student Bar Association and President of the Investment and Finance Law Association. Ms. Montas received her B.A. in Political Science with two minors in Legal Studies and Economics from the University of Central Florida.
