Wellen Park Developers Change Track in Contraction Suit Hearing
NORTH PORT, FL – March 26, 2021 – Attorneys for the developers of Wellen Park changed course Wednesday afternoon during a Zoom hearing before 12th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Hunter W. Carroll. Instead of asking for a summary judgment that would stop the City from considering citizens’ de-annexation request, attorney David Smolker asked the judge to declare that the residents cannot ultimately cause the property to be taken out of the city.
