Laura Carrera joins the firm’s Government Counsel Services and Litigation practice groups. Ms. Carrera joined the firm as a law clerk in 2023, and upon passing the Florida Bar, she began practicing as an attorney in the firm’s Tampa office.
Ms. Carrera focuses her practice on City, County, and Local Government law including code enforcement, land use, quasi-judicial hearings, public ethics, civil rights, public employment relations, user fees, special assessments, procurement, tort liability, Sunshine Law and public records. and representing local government clients including cities, counties, school districts, special districts, and state agencies in all facets of litigation.
Amberlynne Fernandez joins firm’s Public Finance practice group in our Miami office.Ms. Fernandez joined the firm in 2023 as a law clerk, and upon passing the Florida Bar, she began practicing as an attorney in the firm’s Miami office.
Ms. Fernandez focuses her practice on serving as Bond Counsel, Issuer’s Counsel and Disclosure Counsel for municipalities and various tax-exempt financings, and Blue Sky Laws.
She received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law, her Master of Science in International Real Estate from Florida International University and her Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, cum laude, from Florida International University.
Emily Marin joins the firm's Public Finance practice group in the firm’s Maimi office. Ms. Marin will focus her practice on serving as bond, disclosure and underwriter’s counsel in the issuance of municipal bonds and various tax-exempt financings. Specifically, Ms. Marin will primarily focus on serving the firm’s Affordable Housing clients in all aspects of affordable housing transactions.
Ms. Marin received her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law. While in Law School, Ms. Marin was a law clerk for Nabors Giblin & Nickerson where she focused on learning and conducting legal research on a variety of public finance matters, including drafting and preparing legal documents for municipal bond issuance and real estate transactions.
